And that may well be why Jerry isn't around - they kept the ball rolling to take care of their extended crew and family even though the fun was gone and he was physically and emotionally drained. This is not supposition on my part - lots of comments by Garcia in the 90s and by others affiliated with the band. Perhaps Trey and the others took a lesson from that? Perhaps they also realized that the artistic/musical rewards were no longer there, or worth the price, and it was best to explore other avenues? They are all young men and still interact. Never say never (especially with the prices they will command).

that's ok ia don't really care if they return specially at the prices they will try to get. look at guns n roses. one remaining member axel the prick rose and tickets are like 80-90 bucks for good seats . like they deserve that ...music indusrty is just ripping off the consumer. its friggin ridiculous.
pretty hard to see a show for less than 50 bucks and that blows....

don't get to see many show's these days but my buddy has seen phil and trey and widespread panic,from his report wsp is the place to be,more bang for your buck and from all the reviews of vegas wsp blew the place down,my buddy said they did a morning dew that would make any deadhead proud.

widespread panic is one of my fav bands. herring is fitting in nicely . there is a great recording of the morning dew show up at www.digitalpanic.org and there is also a video up @ youtube...

i just caught the radiators last month for 22 bucks!!best darn bar/club band around :)
